HOW DO I SIGN UP?

CAN I RIDE ON AN E-BIKE?
Yes! If you join on an E-Bike you will start behind the main race.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY FEE?

CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET?
Yes, you can, up to the 1 month before the event, you can transfer your ticket to someone else on the Red Cherry Events portal here within your profile. After a month there will be no more substitutions. Any carryovers will be treated as cancellations and the cancellation policy applies.
CAN I ENTER AS A SUPPORTER, IF SO, WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
There is no cost for spectators to come and support. Should you wish to sleep in your partner’s tent that is totally up to you. We offer tented rates for non-riding partners at R400 per extra standard tent needed.
WHEN IS REGISTRATION?
Registration for the event will take place at from Mentors Kraal in 2025, please see the full schedule for a more detailed time line of events.

CAN MY NUMBER BOARD BE COLLECTED ON MY BEHALF?
Yes, as long as you have their ID number, name, surname and distance.
DO YOU HAVE A REFUND OR CANCELLATION POLICY?
By entering the 2025 M&G Investments PE PLETT you agree to the following as well as the documents contained in the
Red Cherry Events terms and conditions
A R5,000 pp non-refundable deposit is required to secure your entry, thereafter the below applies.
Riders wanting to cancel, need to do so in writing by 30 June to receive a full refund (less deposit), otherwise the following applies:
75% of the entry fee will be refunded if written notice is received before 30 August.
50% of the entry fee will be refunded if written notice is received before 31 October.
0% will be refunded if written notice is received after 1 November.
All entries after 30 November will not be eligible for certain parts of the race pack.
No refunds are available on extras booked.
Any riders wishing to move their 4-day entry over to the Day Ripper, or between the two event will be treated as a new entry. Thus deposits cannot be carried over to the Day Ripper event.
RACE DAY
WHAT TIME IS REGISTRATION?
Registration occurs the day before the start of stage 1. Please note there will be no registration available at the start of Stage 1, you need to be register the day before, failure to do so will mean you are marked as a DNS and your entry will be forfeited.
WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT START?
Day of event (refer to the event schedule for dates)
Each day varies and The Tour is slightly more relaxed than The Ride. Please click here to check out the schedule section.
ARE THERE CHARGING STATIONS FOR E-BIKES?
Charging stations are available in the Chill Zone, with plenty of time to recharge your batteries between stages.
ARE THERE CUT-OFF TIMES AT THE EVENT?
There are no cut-off times, we will cheer you on from start to finish. If you feel like you can’t finish, we have support vehicles ready to collect you on the route.
ARE THERE WATER POINTS ON MTB EVENTS?
Yes! We have water points scattered throughout the 4 stages, along with a M&G Boost Bar waiting for you just a few kilometers from the end.
ARE HELMETS A REQUIREMENT?
Yes, riders are required to wear cycling helmets at all times. You will not be allowed to participate without a helmet.
ARE THERE MEDICS ON ROUTE?
Yes. We have medics located throughout the route.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BIKE BREAKS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COURSE?
There are bike mechanics on standby. However, any parts or products used to fix your bike, are at your own cost. Ensure you have a tube, pump and mini kit available to avoid any additional charges.
POST-RACE
WHERE ARE MY RESULTS?
A result SMS will be sent on race day.

MY RESULTS ARE INCORRECT, WHO DO I CONTACT?
Your race results will be sent via an SMS containing a link where incorrect race results can be queried immediately. Please make use of that link or email info@bouttime.co.za
WHERE DO I GET MY PHOTOS THAT WERE TAKEN DURING THE EVENT?
Photos are available on the Whatsapp group. These will be sent out per day once they are finished and will be uploaded by the media team. Also check out your email post-event for the event recap mailer with links to all the videos and photos in there.
