M&G Investments PE PLETT Partners With Leatt for 2024 and Beyond.
Leatt is a name that has become synonymous with safety in the MTB industry.
The Leatt story began in 2001, the weekend after Dr. Chris Leatt’s son started riding motocross. Dr. Leatt witnessed the death of fellow rider and friend Mr. Alan Selby. Dr. Leatt stopped his son from riding and started working on a solution to reduce neck injuries. In 2005, the Leatt chest protection range and the first MTB-specific neck brace were introduced.
Leatt has warehouses and a distribution office in California for the North American Market, as well as a worldwide network of distributors.
For 2024, Leatt South Africa will be partnering with M&G Investments PE PLETT and joining forces to offer riders access to these world-class products through event merchandise, promotions, exclusive deals, and event giveaways.
“A partnership like this makes complete sense for us. Having over 300 cyclists take part in our event year after year means that everyone will now have access to cutting-edge safety gear at a reduced rate both before, during, and after the event. Leatt also comes with a massive following and global reach, meaning that more people from around the globe will become aware of what we are doing here in South Africa and boost tourism, which is a key driver for our economy as a whole,” says Shaun Glover, Marketing Manager at Red Cherry Events.
During the 2024 M&G Investments PE PLETT, Leatt will set up a branding platform in the village and inside the flow of traffic, where they will be introducing their latest in Lycra with their 6.0 MTB Endurance Bib. This will give riders at the event the first chance to see and feel the product, as well as purchase it at a reduced rate.
Leatt will also have exclusivity as the only supplier allowed to have technical products on hand, including helmets, shoes, braces, knee guards, and cycling kit. No other brands will be selling any apparel.
An article will be included in the ride guide and distributed pre-event, announcing exactly what Leatt will be doing at the event.
